Women's Evening With Local Author Gunilla Norris, March 29

Posted: February 14, 2017

Attention women:  On Wednesday, March 29, we’ll connect, laugh, share, and maybe exchange a few hugs as we learn about self-care and gratitude from a woman who has written extensively and movingly about such things.

Local author Gunilla Norris, a mother, grandmother, and psychotherapist in private practice for more than 30 years, is the featured speaker at Holy Family Retreat Center’s annual women’s evening retreat titled, “Where Kindness Begins – With You!”

Noted for her books on everyday spirituality, Norris will discuss the challenges of being kind to ourselves and others in day-to-day lives that are often overscheduled, overworked, and sleep deprived. The evening will be filled with nourishing food, storytelling, laughter and poetry and will draw insights from Norris’s new book, Embracing the Seasons, available for sale at the retreat.

The program runs from 6-9 p.m. and will include wine and cheese, dinner and discussion. It concludes with a prayer service in the chapel and a book signing with Norris. The offering to attend is $40.
